Chuvaness in Taipei covering the Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2009-2010

I just visited Filipino Celebrity Cecilia van Straten's blog and found these photos. Check it out at chuvaness.com. Will update as soon as she uploads more photos. Sigh...how wonderful it must be to be greeted like this at any airport! I am LVoeing that tote!!! POGI!!! Still rockin' the RP! Mdme Chuvaness herself. LVoe it!!!

The Amazing Louis Vuitton African Queen

I was just browsing through www.louisvuitton.com and realized that the Limelight African Queen came in a LVoely shade of green. I wish they actually produced this, since I don't have anything verdant in my collection. Sigh...LVoe it!!! To see the colours of the African Queen that did come out, click here.

This begs the question, yet again: Who wore it better?

But this time, it's both the Kalahari GM and Spicy Sandal! Photo: justjared

Bye, Bye Stephen Sprouse!!!

Louis Vuitton Crocodile Brazza Wallet

I know I have posted a photo of the Brazza in Crocodile before using my low tech cam, click here , but I wanted to share with you all just how beautiful this piece is with a pic from A Man's Journey (www.louisvuitton.com). It's really amazing and the color is simply divine. Now my Damier Brazza seems so plain but I still LVoe it!!! $4280 for the Croc; in store purchase only.

Chloë Sevigny for Louis Vuitton?!

Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2004-2005 Collection Ad. Bag featured is the Velour Gracie with Alligator Trim. I just read Meenal Mistry's blog at style.com about Chloë being open to the idea of future collaborations with a high end fashion house. "I’d like to do something with a high-end company," said Sevigny. “You know, the way that Sofia Coppola did with Louis Vuitton. I thought it was very cool. There were no labels on anything. I like that. I prefer it.” What do you think, guys? After Sofia and Kanye's collab, is it wise for LV to also do one with Chloë Sevigny?

Oooppsss...I almost forgot...Louis Vuitton's Window for Summer 2009

I wanted to share my local Louis Vuitton's Window for Summer 2009 for all of you who are far or who do not have a boutique nearby. The current window features a diagonal shelf display that has 'Louis Vuitton' in gold and a ribbon-esque accent (which, according to DeluxeDuck, is how the inner straps of hardsided luggage are tied). In this particular window, they have the Damier Neverfull in PM ($650) and GM ($750) as well as pumps ($680) and bandeau ($145) from the Oliva Collection. Visit www.louisvuitton.com for details and how to purchase. To view past window displays, click here.

My birthday celebration continues...

I went to the boutique today with the hopes of seeing the new Suhali pieces but unfortunately, they didn't have it yet. So, being that Jerome and I were already there, we decided to play around with a few Spring Summer 2009 Collection such as the Safari and Monogram Matisse African Queen. As we were heading out, I spotted what I thought I would never see in real life. There, in an indescript glass case, was the Martelé ring!!! I was so excited to see it because I called 1-866-Vuitton the day I did a feature of the Martelé Collection (click here) but was sadly informed that it was only available from their stores that had ready-to-wear. Thankfully, the Accessories Specialist at the boutique had the eye that this collection would be successful in their store despite their lack of RTW. The necklace and bracelet were already gone, leaving the little precious ring behind in MY SIZE!!! Needless to say, it went home with me as part of my b-day pressies. Without further ado, here is my new ring. LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!! Martelé Ring, Collection at Chevy Chase, MD, June 7, 2009 To view my humble collection, click here.

New Louis Vuitton Suhali Color Tanami in Le Somptueux Wallet & Pandora Belt

I'm actually waiting for the bigger version of this wallet but so far the US website has only featured the Le Somptueux. The wallet is quite small (5.3"x3.9"x1.4") and features a two compartment coin purse at the back. It's perfect for those outings where you do not want to be hindered by a bag or a long wallet. ($890) Also coming out in tanami is the Pandora Suhali Belt; with its gold buckle that drew its inspiration from Louis Vuitton trunks, this elaborately stiched belt coordinates perfectly with the Suhali new releases. Available in four colors; tanami, black, white and verone. ($565) Visit www.louisvuitton.com.

First LVook: The New Styles and Color of the Louis Vuitton Suhali

The Suhali line has been revived by a new color, theTanami. Mimicking the Rubis of the Epi but of a more subdued tone, this almost rust red will surely attract the attention of the not so faint of heart. Also arriving in www.louisvuitton.com are the new styles: L'Absolu and L'Essentiel. The L'Absolu is tooted as the ultimate bag in the Suhali Collection due to its versatility as a hand, shoulder or elbow bag. It comes in black and tanami. A bigger version Voyage is also available with fabulous stitching and golden brass rivets though it is only available in black and white. The L'Essentiel which is the smallest of the newbies, comes in all three colors of black, white and tanami. Older pieces of the Suhali that are coming out with the new Tanami color are: Lockit MM, Le Majesteux and Le Radieux. I LVoe the subtle pleat!!! For previous posts about this, click here. Let's LVook at the Vernis Melrose Avenue

I posted the Vernis Melrose Avenue before, click here, but being that the release date is only less than a month away, I wanted to share with you all Bagaholicboy's press pic. It seems to be a well structured bag that will hold the everyday essentials. Since the Wilshire Boulevard , this is the latest addition to the Vernis Line. I will have to wait and see it in real life and will keep you guys posted.

I dunno if I should laugh or cry...

Remember my wish for a 'Manila' Neverfull? Click here. Well, Louis Vuitton did not grant it. But somewhere, somehow, someone did. Sigh...I hate fakers! Photo found by http://oskarsobsession.blogspot.com/

LVook-See: Bagatelle Collection, Totally and Irene Coco

As promised, I would like to give my personal review of the bags that I saw yesterday and today. Let's start off with the new Epi Collection colour which is the Rubis. BLOOD RED, that was the first thing that came to my mind as I walked into the store. Passy and the new Bagatelle GM were on display and of course, I gravitated to them. It's the kind of color that will grow on you so I'm not sure if it's going to be a hit. Within seconds, my associate handed me the Bagatelle. A perfectly structured bag that holds a ton yet sits comfortably between the body and arm. It's quite matronly in stature but if you want a large city bag that holds documents along with your essentials with ample room to spare, this is the bag for you. The handles are kind of flimsy but that gives it flexibility. Up next, is the Monogram Totally. Angel noticed immediately that the canvas is thinner than her Batignolles Horizontal. I don't remember that being the case for the Damier Azur but I really didn't pay attention that much to the fabric. The three sizes are a plus because I personally LVoed the GM but Wilfredo said that it was too big on me. I know that some people see it as a diaper bag, but for me, it is absolutely chic without losing its practicality. Lastly, Speedy (John) wanted me to accompany him to LV today to get himself a belt and it turns out that the Irene in Coco (see post below) was already in store. I LVOED it!!! The size was perfect and comfy with soft handles that fit my shoulder with room to spare. It comprises of three compartments with a zippered middle. It's a bit bulky but the luxurious suede compensates for that. And the PATENT LEATHER detail is amazing. The effect is stunning with what seems to me like stenciled monogram flowers on glossy paper. You have got to see it for yourself. Definitely, June 5th or 6th release date for the Irene. LVOE IT!!!

Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2009: The Irene out by June 6

I've never really been one to shop the "Pre" collection since I always want to wait for the Runway pieces but this time, Louis Vuitton is tempting me so much with the Irene. Beautiful in all its incarnations, this city tote bag is something to look forward to. LVoe it!!! Visit www.louisvuitton.com. Monogram Irene $2630 Irene Espresso $4040 Irene Coco $4040

Louis Vuitton Celebrates The Greatest Journey of All

Louis Vuitton wishes to commemorate the 40th anniversary of man's conquest to the Moon, taking the idea of travel as a journey of one's own to a celebration of an adventure, the significance of which is unsurpassed for all mankind. The latest wave of its Core Values ad brings together three amazing individuals whose personal journeys have taken them to the last frontier, space. Buzz Aldrin, Jim Lovell and Sally Ride. Photographed by Tita Annie Leibovitz , the visual was shot on the high plateaux of the California desert. The bag of choice for the shoot is the Icare Travel bag in Monogram canvas, an allusion to its namesake mythological hero who also dreamed of flight. The tag line is an echo of Neil Armstrong's famouse words: "Some journeys change mankind forever." Simultaneously, Louis Vuitton is launching a new website: www.louisvuittonjourneys.com wherein the three astronauts discuss their experiences. LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Core Values 2009 Ad Campaign Behind the Scenes

Louis Vuitton Core Values Ad 2009

Click image to enlarge. The new addition to the Louis Vuitton Core Values advertising campaign is out today entitled: Some Journeys Change Mankind Forever, First Step June 3rd. Photographed staring out into the deep blue sky are Sally Ride, first American woman and youngest American (at the time) to enter space, Buzz Aldrin, the second man to set foot on the Moon, and Jim Lovell, the famous commander of the Apollo 13 mission which suffered an explosion en route to the Moon. Hmmm...the June 3rd date is significant in space history due to the Gemini Titan-4 mission which set a total mission duration of 4 Days, 1 hour, 56 min, 12 seconds 1965. The spacewalk lasted 36 minutes. I don't know its significance for Louis Vuitton. Enough of history! Let's LVook at the bag next to Sally! The Monogram Icare (thanks to fresh mess), a combination of strap and handle, this piece is perfect for travel or as a workhorse bag and an alternative to the otherwise comparatively small Sac Bosphore. LVoe it!!! Special thanks to DeluxeDuck for the pic from Louis Vuitton.
