The new addition to the
Louis Vuitton Core Values advertising campaign is out today entitled:
Some Journeys Change Mankind Forever, First Step June 3rd. Photographed staring out into the deep blue sky are
Sally Ride, first American woman and youngest American (at the time) to enter space,
Buzz Aldrin, the second man to set foot on the Moon, and
Jim Lovell, the famous commander of the Apollo 13 mission which suffered an explosion en route to the Moon.

Hmmm...the June 3rd date is significant in space history due to the Gemini Titan-4 mission which set a total mission duration of 4 Days, 1 hour, 56 min, 12 seconds 1965. The spacewalk lasted 36 minutes. I don't know its significance for
Louis Vuitton. Enough of history!
Let's LVook at the bag next to Sally! The
Monogram Icare (thanks to
fresh mess), a combination of strap and handle, this piece is perfect for travel or as a workhorse bag and an alternative to the otherwise comparatively small Sac Bosphore.
LVoe it!!! Special thanks to
DeluxeDuck for the pic from Louis Vuitton.
I like the look of the Icare, and its reference to Greek mythology - very fitting for this ad. Cosmic chic, I love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, fresh mess. I didn't even recognize it!
ReplyDeleteUm, I don't know if you've noticed but those Google ads on the top of the page mostly feature LV replica sites... seems kind of weird when they appear right below eluxury's ad :)
ReplyDeleteI know. I noticed that too. I have no way of controlling what Google ads puts on my site. I believe I should remove it because I do not support the manufacture of counterfeits. Thanks for pointing that out.
ReplyDeleteNo problem! :)
ReplyDeleteI like this one and the AD makes it even better.
ReplyDeleteI do too. I have nothing against using models, but it just makes it more interesting.
ReplyDeleteNo worries. :)
