Also making an appearance in boutiques is the Wilshire (GM 16.7" x 12.4" x 5.5" and MM 14.1" x 10.6" x 4.9"). A structured tote that is large enough to carry a laptop or netbook, the Wilshire has an open top with a dock clip closure, pretty similar to the now iconic Neverfull. For now, it appears that the GM is only available in Amarante while the MM has Rouge Fauviste, Gris Art Deco and Amarante. Rouge Fauviste for the GM will be available around September. Louis Vuitton Monogram Wilshire

I am always excited to see new additions to the Monogram Core Collection and the familiar shape of the Wilshire is no exception. This time it is being released in three sizes as opposed to its Vernis predecessor. Since it's more structured, it is a welcome alternative to the popular Neverfull. The long slender handles of the GM and MM will make it the perfect workhorse bag without sacrificing style and could easily morph into a casual evening bag. It really reminds me of the Mezzo. From Charleston with LVoe

Long time reader, Nina wrote to me last week about her desire to get the Vernis Bellevue. She wanted to get an opinion since it is rumoured that the Pomme is going to be phased out soon. Well, as it happens more often than not, Nina decided to get a totally different bag and acquired the Wilshire Blvd instead. Not only that, but several other pieces came home with her that day, including a Vuitton candle like the one my store mgr. gave me for Christmas. Congratz, N and wear them ALL in good health. Let's LVook at the Vernis Melrose Avenue

I posted the Vernis Melrose Avenue before, click here, but being that the release date is only less than a month away, I wanted to share with you all Bagaholicboy's press pic. It seems to be a well structured bag that will hold the everyday essentials. Since the Wilshire Boulevard , this is the latest addition to the Vernis Line. I will have to wait and see it in real life and will keep you guys posted.

Louis Vuitton New Monogram Vernis Colors 2011

New colourways are being released today, Jan. 1st for the Monogram Vernis Collection. They are Blanc Corail, Bleu Infinite and Terre d'Ombre. Infusing life to the collection by reinventing not only the Alma but the Wilshire, Brea, Melrose Avenue, Pochette SoBe, Zippy, Sarah, Cles and Porte Simple. I have yet to see them in real life to see how saturated the colours are. The Blanc Corail seems interesting but the two others are not outstanding. Afterall, doesn't Vernis suit the brighter colours?

Monogram Vernis Fluo Collection

Last night when I was purchasing my tie, I saw for the very first time the recently released Wilshire Boulevard from the Vernis line. It was a Vert Tonic (Green) and I was instantly reminded of the Fluo Collection by Bob Wilson. The artist collaboration was released way back on November 15, 2002 up to the beginning of January 2003 and was geared for Spring Summer. The collection comprised of four urban bags: the Houston, Reade MM and PM and the Lexington. It also came with a few accesories primarily a bandana, hair cube and a wish bracelet. There were only three colors that made up the collection: orange, pink and green. Every now and then you would see them crop up on the secondary market.
