Louis Vuitton Monogram Irène
I'm stuck at home waiting for Hurricane Irene to hit and can't help thinking about the Irène from Pre-Fall '09. I know a lot of folks missed this limited run and wish it were a Core Collection piece. *Cheezy, I know, but I'm bored*.

If you guys have any questions about what is featured in the photo, just post a comment and I will try to answer them. You can hover over the pic to identify the photo number. Enjoy! LVoe it!!! LVook-See: Bagatelle Collection, Totally and Irene Coco
As promised, I would like to give my personal review of the bags that I saw yesterday and today. Let's start off with the new Epi Collection colour which is the Rubis. BLOOD RED, that was the first thing that came to my mind as I walked into the store.
Passy and the new Bagatelle GM were on display and of course, I gravitated to them. It's the kind of color that will grow on you so I'm not sure if it's going to be a hit. Within seconds, my associate handed me the Bagatelle. A perfectly structured bag that holds a ton yet sits comfortably between the body and arm. It's quite matronly in stature but if you want a large city bag that holds documents along with your essentials with ample room to spare, this is the bag for you. The handles are kind of flimsy but that gives it flexibility. Up next, is the Monogram Totally. Angel noticed immediately that the canvas is thinner than her Batignolles Horizontal. I don't remember that being the case for the Damier Azur but I really didn't pay attention that much to the fabric. The three sizes are a plus because I personally LVoed the GM but Wilfredo said that it was too big on me. I know that some people see it as a diaper bag, but for me, it is absolutely chic without losing its practicality. Lastly, Speedy (John) wanted me to accompany him to LV today to get himself a belt and it turns out that the Irene in Coco (see post below) was already in store. I LVOED it!!! The size was perfect and comfy with soft handles that fit my shoulder with room to spare. It comprises of three compartments with a zippered middle.
It's a bit bulky but the luxurious suede compensates for that. And the PATENT LEATHER detail is amazing. The effect is stunning with what seems to me like stenciled monogram flowers on glossy paper. You have got to see it for yourself. Definitely, June 5th or 6th release date for the Irene. LVOE IT!!!

First LVook: Pochette SoBe
It's all about small purses this season as well. Fresh new pics from Dinh, the Pochette SoBe . It looks to me that it's crafted out of patent leather. And that Monogram! Wow, no one will mistake it for anything else. Thanks again, D for the photos! LVoe it!!!

First LVook: Minaudiere Jersey
How about spicing up your summer evenings with the Minaudiere Jersey. Quilted to perfection, these miniature clutches are crafted from jersey, a type of knit textile made from cotton or a cotton and synthetic blend. It comes in Rose and Black and is very much like the Minaudieres from season's past. Thanks again, Dinh! LVoe it!!!
First LVook: New Colour Epi Rubis
Louis Vuitton is really going RED this season. Slated to be released around June, here is another, but this time from the Epi Collection and is called Rubis. {Remember the pourpre for the upcoming Suhali pieces? Click here}. Special thanks to Dinh for the pics.

Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2009
Since Spring is well under way into Summer, it's now time for us to look ahead for the Pre-Fall Collection. Inspired by the 1940's, Marc Jacobs has created for us softer silhouttes and subdued colors that will match the mood of the season. See previous post. For now, I want to focus on the large city bag that was featured. Crafted from suede and patent leather that is embossed with the monogram flowers, it comes in fawn and dark brown; plus the Monogram Canvas version with gold metallic calfskin trim. I think it's a perfect drawstring bag. The square strap holder detail is a nice touch and I LVoe that it is footed. Dare I hope that this would have an affordable price tag. The size seems ample enough to lug the daily essentials but I am not too wild about the tassels though I know that it could grow on me in time. I am assuming that the release of this bag would be sometime in late summer. All in all, LVoe it!!!

First LVook: Pre Fall 2009
Louis Vuitton’s pre-fall collection celebrates the era of the 40's. I really don't see it but I LVoe the pink evening bag. As you can see the Multicolore Insolite is also featured here. Check out the full article at DazedDigital.com. Photography by Karen Langley.
