Pit Stop

On our way to Rehoboth Beach, Rowena and I decided to make a quick visit and have cup of coffee with my good friend Angel. Luckily she was carrying her LV bucket so here's a snapshot of us enjoying our lattes.

Traveling in Style

Despite the cold front, my company is off to its semi-annual retreat in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. It's a time for bonding with the co-workers and to charter our course for the future. I'm really not looking forward to this trip and I am glad that my Louis are coming with me. I have never used this Eole and Excursion combo and just realized that they resemble each other closely. Vuitton after all is built on travel so I decided to go in style. Gosh, I sound so pretentious!

Windy in DC

It was a tad bit too windy for my taste when I walked Piolo this morning so I came to the realization that I am ill equipped for the upcoming winter months. Searching the www.louisvuitton.com. portal, I found this wonderful mink hat and instantly fell in LVoe. It will suit me perfectly! Now all I have to do is convince Santa to get it for me. $1710.

Denim XL

I was just browsing the Purse Forum on this lazy Sunday morning when I happened upon a thread discussing the Denim XL. I have always drooled over the Mahina version of this oversized bag but was hesistant to fork out so much for it. Well, the relatively new released denim is an excellent and tempting alternative. It comes in blue or black and modestly priced at $2150. LVoe it!!! Visit www.louisvuitton.com.

Mia & Me

After a Thanksgiving of shopping and feasting, here we are eating again at Cosi. Take note that I decided to don my Vuitton mink since the temperature dropped rapidly over the weekend. There is nothing better than spending the holidays with a good friend. Thanks Mi for joining us. LVoed it!!!

Man bag for a Merry Christmas

Lifted from Louis Vuitton's holiday catalogue is this wonderful man bag from the Utah Leather collection. It's name: Kiowa. I don't know yet what it means or what it is named after. All I know is that this tote rocks and I could even imagine myself carrying it. I wanted my passport holder to come from this line but unfortunately it's discontinued. Maybe this is an appropriate alternative. LVoe it!!! Visit www.louisvuitton.com.

LVMH wins against Britney Spears Video Ban

LVMH Louis Vuitton has just won 80,000 euros in damages and the banning of a Britney Spears video showing an unauthorized close-up shot of an LV fabric used as car upholstery. Britney, as if she's not in enough trouble already, is not responsible for any of this but the blame lies with Sony BMG and its subsidiary Zomba and MTV online as well. Not sure if this is a shot from the actual video but found this photo on the Purse Forum.

Mahina Amelia Wallet

Ever since I bought my Onatah, I have been in LVoe with its buttery leather and minute perforations. So, I was very excited to find out that a new wallet was released with the Mahina leather as outershell. Presenting the Amelia wallet! Named after, Amelia Earhart, America's first female aviator, it comes with 18 credit card slots (yup, you read right, it's eighteen) and a zippered coin compartment. Of course the brass lock adds that special Marc touch. $775; also comes in denim for $735. Visit www.louisvuitton.com

For My Niece

Just couldn't resist posting Zac Efron with his Taiga Kendall after seeing him with my 7-year old neice in "High School Musical". The kid has style.

Christmas is just around the corner

Just came from LV and picked up a present. My SA gave me a new catalogue showing pics of the Palermo, Tivoli etc... Also, LV just released their very own gift cards. It comes in this credit type thing with the monogram on the front. Really cool!

LVoely Sunday!!!

Neo Bucket wins my vote!

Monogram Rubis

A new line for 2008, the Monogram Rubis is every bit as fabulous as Dorothy's slippers. Trimmed with ultra-red vinyl, vachetta and calf leather with alligator print, the line can either be slung on the shoulder or hand-held. A little red tag completes the look that is so Vuitton. Kudos to Marc for this innovative design. Salina GM $2850; Salina MM $2550; Neo bucket $2150. Visit www.louisvuitton.com.

Cold DC

This will be my fourth year celebrating Hanukkah and I can't wait to bring this to the ancestral home. Jeff will just LVoe it...NOT!

New Zippy dee doo dah

I have been looking for a pic of this wonderful zippy coin purse ever since I saw it two weeks ago. Thanks to a co-LV-blog, I found one. So here's his descrip: Something which came out rather recently, and caused someone I know quite a bit of grief (let's just say she was torn between this and another wallet), is the Louis Vuitton Zippy Coin Purse. Though small, it sure can pack it in, including 4 credit card slots, business card slots and not 1, but 2 large small change compartments, good it you want to keep the small coins away from the big coins (do I make sense?). And it is also a steal at just SGD445. If I remember correctly it is $275 here in the US. Visit his blog.

Hot new items with the Trunks and Bags logo are soon to be available. One is a cles and the other one is a small, flat wallet that has a D-ring so that it can conveniently be attached to another Louis. Really cute!!! I can't wait to see them in real life. LVoe it!!! Pics may not be to scale.

For those breathtaking cherry blossoms...

I can just imagine myself carrying this new introduction for Spring-Summer 2008 as I jump from one Hanami (Cherry blossom viewing party) to another. This dual zippered tote with the dyed python trim is simply perfect for Springtime in DC! It was designed in collaboration with Richard Prince and the writing is from jokes by Henny Youngman. I wonder if it will really go into production. Photo from ValleyOppressed of the Purse Forum.

Vuitton USB Flash Drive

Designed by Fred de Garilhe for the technologically savvy who wants to add a bit of luxury, this USB flash drive comes with 40 gigabytes and is structurally made with either white or yellow gold. Covered in rich exotic leathers of ostrich or alligator, additional diamonds and sapphires could be added if a little bling is desired. Some of them also comes with an analog or digital clock and as an added security feature, a lock and key is built into the design to keep all your secrets. I guess I need to get one of these since Arjay sends me tons of pics.

The Griet

The Griet came out with the patent leather trimmings that the Mirage line is elegantly known for. Miss Scarlett is Ă¼ber fabulous donning it in one of her ads. Needless to say, it was a bit pricey. I guess they wanted to come up with with a more affordable alternative and out comes these beauties. I would die with those vachettas because they are thick and it is quite necessary to touch them. LVoe it anyways. Prices: Mirage $3450; Monogram and Damier $1770; Multicolore $2030 Visit www.louisvuitton.com.

The things I've missed...

I have been so busy lately that I haven't been updating my Louis blog that I practically missed posting the newly released Cruise line. I wasn't so wild about it when I saw it in real life. I have been using my Speedy Mini lin this past whole week and I think this is a better material in terms of looks than the one pictured below. I guess I might change my mind when spring rolls in. It also comes in red. Speedy Mini Lin Croisette $805. Visit www.louisvuitton.com.

Le Barong de Tagalog

During my visit to the Philippines, I just couldn't help myself when I had the opportunity in Lumban, Laguna to have a Barong Tagalog, the National Philippine Costume for men, especially made with a stylized version of the Vuitton flowers. So here is my Barong in pineapple-jusi fiber. Now all I have to do is host a Philippine Gala here in DC to show it off. PS: Lumban is one of the oldest towns in Laguna and is considered the "Embroidery Capital of the Philippines."
