First LVook: Damier Bloomsbury

Good morning, everyone! Now I know what I am going to do this weekend. I have to see the newest bag from the Damier Collection, the Bloomsbury. Ever since Vuitton has incorporated pleats in their bags, I have always wanted to have one. Named after a residential area in London, I just LVoe how they finished the Louis Vuitton plate. Also I noticed that the bigger version has less curvature in the opening than its smaller counterpart. I am so excited to see this bag and at $1050 for the GM and $890 for the PM, it's not that bad. First LVook: Computer Sleeve

I have been waiting for this computer sleeve for ages. First, it was supposed to be released way back in November and then moved to December and last I heard not until March. So I really became excited when I saw it up on the website only to be disappointed. The lookbook showed that the protective foam inside would have the monogram and flowers embossed on it. Now they have changed it to the Louis Vuitton Inventeur Plate design! Sigh, I know that the pics shown in the lookbook is not always the final product that goes into market but the previous design would have been so cool. No wonder it took time for them to release it. Must've been hard to produce the microfibre with the flowers. The product comes in size 13" and 15" and will be approximately $550 to $600, respectively.

Damier Insolite

Much awaited by many with the success of the Monogram Insolite, the Damier version comes in ebene and azur. Very functional and holds a ton, this wallet from the permanent collection is a hip and trendy alternative to what is currently being offered. Purchase for $565 at www.louisvuitton.com or save on tax at eLUXURY.com

First LVook: 1904 Monogram Belt

January 1st was the realease of many items from LV. First off were the new Vernis colors. I got a chance today to visit my local boutique and saw them first hand. The palette is vibrant, sexy and a tad bit on the shocking side but all in all the collection is fabulous. After toying with the Orange Sunset Alma, I happened upon this new belt buckle called the 1904. Inspired by a trunk lock that was designed by Vuitton from that year, it is quite reminiscent of art nouveau. It also comes in natural black calf. Priced at $470 for the monogram and $565 for the calf, visit www.louisvuitton.com or save on tax at eLUXURY.com

Miroir, Miroir on the wall...

I am a bit disappointed with LV for releasing yet another Miroir piece. Supposedly, limited in its edition, the new Alma MM has been out since last week. Sigh...I guess, I will try not to be selfish since I did get my Lockit in the Miroir's second wave. $2080 at www.louisvuitton.com or eLUXURY.com

I LVoe this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anne Hathaway with Marc Jacob's creation for Vuitton: 'The Heart Of Glass' Plastron. Bagaholicboy's blurb about this fantastic necklace: Marc Jacobs has done it again and pushed the concept of wearable art to the limit with the Louis Vuitton 'The Heart Of Glass' Plastron. This exquisite one-of-a-kind necklace is composed of blown glass parts and precious metals (gold and platinum are used), and is made to resemble blossoming cocoons. Truly a work of art (because I doubt anyone would actually wear it), this floral metal sculpture is huge (just to give you an idea, the 2 largest cocoons are the size of peaches). And to own this piece of luxury, you'll have to fork out at least SGD25,000 (around $US17,000) and fly to Hong Kong as it is not available here.

Updates from the Japanese website

First LVook: Astrid Wallet

I never knew this wallet even existed 'til I browsed the website tonite. It's a zipped clutch that boasts compartments and pockets galore. Looks to me like a morphed Eugenie wallet stuck to a Complice. $805 at www.louisvuitton.com or to save on tax, purchase from eLUXURY.com.

First LVook: The Odéon UPDATE ON PRICE

Somewhat similar to the Besace Angèle of Mini Lin fame, the Odéon is a new introduction to the Monogram Canvas collection that will soon hit Holiday shoppers everywhere. It is yet another handheld-shoulder bag combo that fits the needs of our busy world today. Coming out in three different sizes, the Odeon promises to prove to be yet another entry level piece for the House of Vuitton. I can't wait to see it in real life. LVoe it!!! UPDATE: Prices are expected to be GM $1100, MM $855 and PM $725.

The Delphes

I have been lusting over the Lutèce for quite sometime with the sure hope of winning the lottery anytime now, that I have completely neglected the other exotics in this year's Fall Winter Collection. The Delphes, constructed out of perforated python, is a $6,000-bag that is a must have for LVoers everywhere. I am hoping and praying that the Chevy Chase Collection might have it sometime soon or perhaps I will see it in the near future in a more, shall we say, grandiose location...*wink* *wink*
