Louis Vuitton Monogram Underground
I am almost done with my humble reviews of the upcoming bags for Spring Summer 2010. Today, I'm featuring the Monogram Underground. Crafted out of my favourite of all luxurious leather, goat or chèvre as the French call it, the collection comprises of devil-may-care bags that are used for daily essentials. Let's start off with the Duffel. Priced at around $4000, the bag is the largest of the collection. I guess, you can configure it's position by choosing one of the four handles that it comes with. Cylindrical in shape, I wonder if it will be difficult to search for things in it.
Next we have the Bum Bag which I thought went out of fashion a long time ago but I guess Marc is resuscitating its use. I adore the color combination of brown and aquamarine but will it tempt me enough to buy this double handled bag for $2000?
Of all of the pieces, the Messenger seems to be the most practical. I belive it is quite roomy judging from the Runway photos and I can't wait to feel the leather on this one. Estimated at less than $4K.
Finally, the Flat bag that was made for the cute-sy factor. I must admit that it is doing a fantastic job of it. I LVoe, LVoe, LVoe the leather pompom detail! Slated to be released at $1500.

A few curious question from a curious customer.
ReplyDelete1. I wonder how big the duffle is? I wonder whether does it have any sort of closure mechanism for the bag?
2. The bum bag? Seriously! I won't spend my few months worth of pay for something to add inches on my derriere and nether region!
3. Flat bag is way too small and costly (isn't all luxury goods costly?). Maybe be a great handphone pouch but, that's about it!
Hi CB:
ReplyDelete1. The Duffle will be 16.1" x 6.3" x 3.5" which is not so big.
2. Exactly my sentiments but it's still cute though.
3. The Flat Bag would be great for a nite out or just for the movies.
Those can't be the dimensions of the duffle bag. I don't know what they are exactly, but I've seen it and it's a lot bigger than 16.1" x 6.3" x 3.5." Something else I've seen regarding the duffle: the top part (green) can be tucked completely in the peach leather section to create a smaller, very cool top handle bag. Note the handles with the beads in the center of the bag? A fantastic two bags in one! antastic!
ReplyDeleteOh dear... don't love any of those. Eek!
