ReplyDeletechic!chic!chic!
ReplyDeletewhere did you get the cardboard box from? I think i need to do that for my poor mini lin speedy.
ReplyDeleteHi, sharon. I just did a cut out from the box that the Speedy came in. Thanks for visiting!
ReplyDeletethat seems like a good idea
ReplyDeletelove your blog :)
clever! love your idea
ReplyDeleteHi You can also buy base shapers now for the Speedy and Neverfull. Check out ebay and multiply. Some people already sell them and they come in different colors.
ReplyDeleteOh, I've read horror stories about color transfers due to these base shapers. They don't use real or good quality leather so they tend to leak onto the lining. Besides, even with my cardboard box, I want it to be from the House of Vuitton. Thanks for visiting my blog!
ReplyDeleteI hate Louis Vuitton and everyone who shops there is a self-absorbed heartless person. How can you people spend $700 on a useless, status-symbol handbag when people %60 of the people in this world live on $2 a day.
ReplyDeleteI would love to hear some comments.
I agree with Dave. Even for the cheapest LV, I rather grab a Cole Haan.
ReplyDeleteI did the cardboard base with another bag I have that tended to sag and great idea for the Mon Monogram Mini Speedy I ordered today!
ReplyDeleteDave: way to judge people you've never met - that seems like as much of a wrong to me as purchasing an expensive handbag. I certainly hope that you wear only Salvation Army clothes and shop only at dollar stores to back that up. But I'm guessing not. I work hard for my money and I don't feel guilty spending it however I want.
Ooohhh...congratz on the Mon Monogram, Anonymous! Send me a pic when you get it. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI guess that is the point Dave is trying to make though right? What kind of a person choose to spend money hard earned or not on something that serves only to gratify the ever insatiable ego? Needing to come to terms with how despicable it is to indulge in ones self.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I like LV bags but to buy them makes me feel really bad about myself. So I don't do it. I'd rather spend the money on our city's rescue mission for kids. And that is what I did. I almost bought an LV and I changed my mind and spend some money on those kids instead.
I definitely agree with anon. Being a bit of an artist myself I TRULY appreciate what goes into a vuitton and I love them. But afterwards you left with immense guilt knowing some nearby family (i live in south africa) could have survived a month on your little pochet cles let alone that monmonogrammed pegasse.
ReplyDeleteI feel marc jacobs et al should put some work into making more rigid models. Messenger bags would benefit from some plastic bone as they take that fold on top -you have to carry a hard book just so it holds shape. Miniature Alzers wouldnt hurt!!
