Louis Vuitton Mahina Galatea

The latest addition to the Mahina Line is the shoulder bag called Galatea. Supposed to be released this Monday, August 14 (though I've seen it being sold in stores) it comes in PM ($3050) and MM ($3300) sizes. The current picture shows the colour Opal and highlights the characteristic perforated technique that this leather is known for. I LVoe the luggage belt detail on the straps. It seems that most LV bags nowadays have it.

From Jeeves with LVoe: Sprouse Graffiti 2001 Hat Boxes

Hello, Let me first start off with saying that I love you blog and all your pictures. Recently I have seen you add some pictures of your views, so I wanted to share a few pictures with you. I have both graffiti hat boxes that were originally released in 2001. They both come with everything, keys, dust bag, and luggage tags. :) I though that your views would love seeing a "blast from the past". If you post it, it would be great, and if not, that is also fine too. Keep up the great work on your blog!!! Thanks, JeevesThe first Vuitton-Sprouse collaboration was released for Spring Summer of 2001 called the Graffiti collection "Stephen Sprouse for Louis Vuitton". Since the artist passed away in 2004 the later Graffiti line was changed to "Louis Vuitton for Stephen Sprouse". Marc Jacobs was quoted to say: “I tried to take what Stephen had done at Vuitton and then kind of flip it in my head, and make it Vuitton’s work for Stephen, not Stephen’s work for Vuitton." The original collaboration has its origins in the time when Jacobs was looking for a Paris apartment. When he looked at Charlotte Gainsbourg’s space on the rue du Bac, he stumbled across a Vuitton Monogram canvas trunk, which the actress’s legendary father, Serge, had painted over in black. It eventually inspired him to collaborate with Sprouse for spring 2001. “For me, this monogram graffiti was the first milestone of our permanent reinvention of our history,” said Vuitton president and chief executive officer Yves Carcelle. (source: bagcraze) You were extremely LVcky to have acquired not only one but two of the Sprouse Boîte de Chapeau, Jeeves and I thank you for sending your photos in for my readers to see. LVoe it, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton First LVook: Monogram High End Shoulder Bag PM

Louis Vuitton L'âme du voyage Catalogue

I just LVoe it when LV does these Travel Catalogues that showcase their core collection pieces instead of their seasonal "it" bags. I received my copy today in the mail which was beautifully shot in India and would like to share with you all some of my favourite photos. "L'âme du voyage" literally means "The Soul of the Trip" and a wonderful thought as you travel with your LVs. Concept by Ogilvy, Photographed by Carter Smith. My poor iPhone snapshots does not do the photos justice, so check out the digital version and cool videos at http://louisvuitton-travel.com/home.php?locale=en_US.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Fetish Resin Clochettes

Photo: Monogram Fetish Lockit EEEKKKK!!! I didn't even noticed it when I did the LVook-See. The Fetish (aka Shine) Lockits were supposed to have resin clochettes but due to manufacturing issues, only a handful were produced, maybe for the Lookbook and Trunkshows only. Now I'm not sure if LV actually made some Shine Lockits that have the resin accessory for the mass market but if they did and you do see one, be sure to grab it! That's a pity if they only made canvas clochettes because I think the resin ones really LVook cool. Thanks Jiro for the info!

Louis Vuitton Monogram Fascination Lockit

The Monogram Fascination Lockit in perrier is by far my favourite of all the Runway bags this FW 2011-12. Crafted out of patent lambskin, the iconic Monogram pattern is enhanced through matte bouclette embroidery. I LVoe how Marc Jacobs has focused on the Lockit for the collection. Designed in 1958 it is one of the most enduring of LV bags. The colour is to die for! LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!! Detail credit: sandrascloset.com

LVook-See: Monogram Fetish Lockits

Nothing beats spending the weekend than playing with Louis Vuittons! Especially if they are the soon to be released Runway Bags. The three that I saw were from the Monogram Fetish Collection comprising of the Lockit, Lockit BB and the take-my-breath-away Lockit Clutch. The Clutch's amazing detail is the solid brass manacle that is attached to a chain. Ample enough to hold some stuff for an evening, I don't think it can be used as an everyday bag. Hmmm...I think I can pull it off while shopping at the grocery store. The chain is detachable, though it is permanently fastened to the manacle. I wish it weren't so because it's a great bracelet in itself. The next two pieces are the petite Lockit BB and its bigger brother, the Lockit. The BB is utterly useless but absolutely adorable. I bet this is a test run piece to see if it will sell to match the highly popular Alma BB. The Lockit on the other hand sits comfortably once held though I wish it came a tad bit bigger. It's definitely the most functional of all of them. Lined in sumptuous goat leather, the beige makes the interior bright which is an advantage if you are looking for something. Take note: Goat explains the high price tag. I LVoe the clochette detail on the Monogram Fetish Clutch. Even though the tiret is quite short, the large lip makes it balanced somehow. The side seam of the Lockit also has this "cut" to it that is an interesting detail. Of course, a Lockit won't be complete without a lock but for this line it is wrapped in canvas. All three have white contrast stitching, white glaze and white resin zipper pulls that makes the collection unique. Priced at $3050 for the Lockit, $2420 for the Clutch and $1560 for the BB, they are scheduled to be released on August 15 so better hurry if you want to reserve them. LVoe it!!!
