Louis Vuitton LV Studs for Fall Winter 2009 2010

The Fall Winter Bags will soon be upon us, so other than the Pailletes that I have been drooling over, I wanted to feature the other bags that are coming our way. The LV Studs as the collection is called is due to the rivets that can be found on the LV initials. They are coming out in two styles, the Alma and Noé, both icons from the House of Vuitton. The Alma's tentative lookbook color is only black with an estimated price of $4580 while the Noé's are red and blue and are priced at $4050. They are kinda steep but judging from the runway photos, these bags had a lot of work put into them. LVoe it!!! Click here for Fall Winter articles. Photos from style.com.

Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2009-2010 Releases

Well, Saturday's the big day as the bags from the Collection of Fall Winter 2009 2010 starts trickling to the boutiques. I was invited today to view the collection and of course, some snapshots were in order. I saw most of them but was thrilled with the super expensive Double Jeu. They had both the Neo Alma and Neo Noé and I must say that the leather is so buttery and soft. Really high quality. The inner bag was an added treat with the beaded handles and the Inventeur plate being the discreet element to identify it as a Louis. They also had the Paillettes collection: Alma, Speedy and Pochette Accesoires. The work that went into these pieces is truly amazing. The black sequins were my favourite because they weren't too loud. I'm not sure that these could be day pieces but nighttime drama would surely display the pailletes to full advantage. I wasn't too wild about the Coquette Pochette (pink) as well as the My Deer Rebele. (black) The Thalie which was a metallic brocade was definitely an evening bag and it sits comfortably in the hand. All in all, the collection was quite exciting with the leather handles being the most memorable feature for me. I am used to rolled or flat handles from Vuitton so these large, buttery soft, almost belt-like straps are very much welcomed. I noticed that the bags are quite small in stature this season (Speedy being 28cm) . Last Fall we were treated with big bags of suede and skin, but this year Marc was all about the details of chains, rivets and huge zipper pulls of brass (really LVoely). LVoe it!!!

New Louis Vuitton Ad for Fall Winter 2009 2010. I LVoe it, Lola Madonna!!!

Presenting to you the first LVeak of the Fall Winter 2009-2010 Ad Campaign featuring the ethereal, air-brushed Madonna with the Pre-Fall Monogram Canvas Irene. The color palette reminds me of the Scarlett Johansson pics from two years ago (click here ). Obviously, the ad was inspired by Horst's famous photo of Coco Chanel, a sharp contrast from the bar scene of Madonna's previous campaign. Click here to see them. LV Ad photographed by Steven Meisel

My Fall Winter Purchase

Quite a few people have been inquiring as to what I am going to purchase from the Fall Winter 2009 2010 Collection. The bags are slowly being released but somehow nothing has grabbed my fancy. It has been my tradition though to acquire something from the Runway and since I couldn't get some Bunny Ears, when this piece was shown to me at the Flagship Saks Fifth Avenue Ready-to-Wear Boutique, how could I even resist? Presenting my Faux Pearl Pique à chignon , August 31, 2009: Obviously, I can't use this for what it is intended for, but imagine it being threaded on an oversized knitted scarf. It's engraved HIVER 2009. As seen on Sasha Pivovarova at the runway.

Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2011 2012: Monogram Fetish Lockit BB

Well, the "Fetishes" are soon coming our way to titillate our senses for the fall winter months. I want to start off with the Monogram Fetish Lockit BB. Small in stature, I believe it is a statement piece that goes a long way from day to evening. I LVoe how the lock is enveloped in Monogram canvas and that it is a footed bag. I can't quite figure out what material the clochette and zipper pull is made of so I'm really LVooking forward to seeing them in real life. For now, no price point or release date. I'll keep y'all posted for more of the FW pieces. LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2011 2012: THE BAGS

Judging from Louis Vuitton's Fall Winter Men's Runway Show, the MAN CLUTCH is back! I remember my Papa carrying one of those when I was growing up. They are nice and all but you can't really carry a lot in them. As you scroll down the briefcases and travel bags, nothing seems remarkable until you are arrested by the bum bag. Cutesy but I could imagine myself wearing one. One thing I find interesting and would LVoe to see in real life are the ginormous hardware. They truly make the piece. The skins used are amazing especially the distressed LVook on the briefcases and luggages. Also, the Nomade-like leather on the clutches especially the creme folio is a must see. The white and red Damier embossed are definitely show stoppers. Lastly the lone Monogram Canvas clutch was either an after-thought or an obligatory "affordable" version. All in all it's a fantastic collection of arm candies from Paul Helbers. LVoe it!!! Photos from style.com Photos from style.com
