Louis Vuitton Cabas Mezzo

Well, it's official! The Cabas Mezzo or at least a version of it is slated to be released by the end of August, early September. This is in response supposedly due to the overwhelming demand after Angelina Jolie's ad hit the new stands. The last price point for the Mezzo before it was discontinued was $1440. Now, the "new" version's price is yet to be released so let's hope that its around that ball park. Take note that the above photo is from the days of eluxury. LVoe it!!!

  6. The bag Angelina Jolie has in the ad is the Cabas Alto, and the LV store in NYC tells me it's being re-released in September for one year or until supply runs out.

  7. Yup it was an Alto in Jolie's ad but there seems to be a confusion whether it's the Alto, Mezzo or both or even variations of the two that will be released. We just have to wait and see. Thanks for visiting!

  10. Hi, My husband surprised me this Valentine's Day with my first Louis Vuitton - the Cabas Mezzo. We live in Alaska and do not have any LV Boutiques here, so my best friend helped my hubby by calling the Maui, HI store where she bought her Neverfull last winter. They did not have the Mezzo, but put her in contact with a Saks LV boutique in Phoenix, AZ that did have it, and voila!, my Mezzo arrived Valentine's day.

Here's my question - I have heard horror stories about fake LV's being shipped to people from LV boutiques to unsuspecting and anxious novice Louis lovers. Is this possible? I have been using the Internet to try to authenticate my Mezzo, and I am confused...some important pieces seem to be missing, like the date code. Can you help me? I found your blog site thru my research and I have deemed you as a LV expert. I would LOVE your opinion and really need your help!

    Thank you so much!
    Alaskan LV Lover

    1. If your Cabas Mezzo does not have the date code then it is a fake. Also, note that LV does not ever discount, so if it was not purchased at full price, that would also indicate it was a fake.
