Louis Vuitton Monogram Estrela & Retiro
Released yesterday are these two exciting pieces for the Permanent Monogram Collection. First off we have the Estrela that comes in two sizes, GM (45cm x 31cm x 16cm) and MM ( 40cm x 29cm x 15cm
). Reminiscent of its best-selling predecessor, the Batignolles, this canvas city bag boasts a top handle and shoulder strap. It is is lined in beige Alcantara and has a zipper on top for security. I LVoe the vache leather detail on the sides to protect the edges. They remind me of those that were used for the Le Majesteux of the Suhali line. Priced at $1440 for the GM and $1300 for the MM.
The next one is more of a formal bag called the Retiro. Formal to my eyes due to its shape, exposing the zippered opening. It comes in GM (40cm x 28cm x 17cm) and PM (38cm x 28cm x 15cm) sizes and priced at GM $1530 and PM $$1390. Both were supposed to be released yesterday, but the stores only got a handful for the Estrela and the Retiro has not even reached our shores. LVoe both of these!!!

ReplyDelete@ Rita sak:
ReplyDeleteHi, I think you have not been to the Louis Vuitton boutique in Singapore yah?
I bgt a LV Retiro GM in late January 2011 for Chinese New Year!! Got my receipt to prove ... :)
Hi, May I know that inside Retiro Pm available the batch code no.???...becoz i couldn't find it...is it invisible for this design?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but I don't know where the date code is either. Maybe someone can chime in. Thanks for visiting!
ReplyDeleteI purchased the retiro pm for $1640 in July. How did you guys get it for so much cheaper? But anyways, the date code is practically invisible and stamped into the small microfiber pocket that is closest to the d- ring.
ReplyDeleteI just purchases the Retiro GM and I'm hoping it's not to large. Saw the PM and thought it was to small for me. I bought this at an LV store in Chicago and it was the only one left. It it was the one on display and the leather had already changed to the honey color. Any thoughts about this being on display vs buying bag that was stored?
ReplyDeleteI can't decide on the Estrela vs. Retiro? I want a piece that I can wear all the time, functional, timeless and get the best use for the money.
ReplyDeleteJust bought my Estrela... No regrets!
ReplyDeleteTo me, I have both bags before.
ReplyDeleteRight now, I have Estrela. I like Retiro more because of the handles. Other details remains similar.
