Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Brea

Part of the New Year releases is the latest addition to the Monogram Vernis Line: the Brea. Inspired by the traditional doctor's bag, I played around with it in-store and decided that it was more for business. The GM had ample space though the zippered opening felt awkward to me. The strap was not at all useful but the top handles were quite comfy. It currently only comes in Amarante and Pomme d'amour but I think it would look smashing in a Bleu Nuit. Prices are PM $1040, MM $1760 and GM $1940. Check it out at www.louisvuitton.com.

  2. I love it!I am thinking of purchasing it myself.Do you like it in Pomme or Amarante better?I am thinking in the terms of it if it is to be worn with casual attire and it will pretty much match all any colour attire you would wear but whats your take on it?I have yet to go to the store to take a look at it but i am snooping around for more info on the bag before i purchase it since i have my heart set on it.

  4. Hi there,

All LV's usually have a date code. Thanks for stopping by!

  5. My manfriend (former boyfriend/admirer) just bought me the large sized Brea bag in amarante for my birthday. I just arrived last week. I love it! I've been wanting one from the Vernis line for a couple years, saw this new one on the site, and thought it looked unique. I'm a lawyer, so it holds files and can be used as somewhat of a briefcase. The amarante shade is versatile--it goes with earth tones or darks/black. You seldom find a purse that goes well with both. It's a great everyday bag. He got me the matching zippy wallet. Zip wallets are must-haves. The only thing I find a little annoying is that it requires regular use of the dust cloth to maintain shine/polish. I live in MD and the heat/humidity this summer have been horrible. I notice that condensation builds on the exterior with this humidity, but that should subside by the fall. I highly recommend this bag!

  7. Never been a big fan of LV until this bag came out- bought it in amarante MM- lovely bag to travel with as can wear it casual and work- everything goes in it, passport, book, waterbottle, extra jumper! So glad I got the amarante as i keep knocking it, as it's not a dainty bag and minor scratches are not visible!

  9. I love this, especially in the pale pink colour. However, I wonder if it would still be as nice once the leather has tanned.. Anyone know anything on this? Any photos??

  10. my boyfriend wants to buy me a Louis Vuitton bag as a gift because he really knows my passion with the LV stuff. He asked me which one i like, and i said i loved the Alma monogram but one of my italian friend told me its really a classic style, usually seen with the old one =) so i decided to look in the official website (location: Italy) and I've seen the Romance and Brea GM.As of now i m still undecided =( what do you think is much better with the two?thanks for the opinion in advance...

  11. The Brea is a work bag for me. I would go for the Alma. I don't think it's considered an "old lady's bag" at all!
