Happy High Heel Race Everyone!!!
One of DC's most awaited pre-Halloween festivities, the High Heel Race is an annual gathering of 100 or so drag queens in full regalia parading 17th street. Beginning around 7:00 PM the Tuesday before Hallow's Eve, it culminates in the actual race at 9 o'clock. Fabulously rambunctious, the crowds endure the usually cold weather with jeer and cheers lasting through the night. What better way to celebrate this fabulous event than with a parade of Louis Vuitton's Spring Summer 2009 Shoe Collection. LVoe it!!!
