Louis Vuitton Aviator
One thing that our darling SA showed us last night was the Aviator from the Pre-Fall 2010 Collection. The über expensive tote is lined in quilted, orange nylon, playing on the aeronautic theme. The exterior jacquard fabric is ehhh...and the calfskin bottom is not luxurious enough in my opinion to merit the $3270 price tag. The shape is fantastic with the changing LVooks between open and closed. I prefer it closed though as worn here by Gwen Stefani and Rachel Bilson.
Louis Vuitton First LVook: Damier Cabas Rivington
I am glad to see that a new Damier Ebene is slated to join the ranks of the Core Collection. Named the Cabas Rivington, it will come in three sizes and will have long shoulder straps. The estimated release date will be August 1st and will roughly cost around the low $1,000. I think it draws from the old Belem design that was discontinued a few seasons ago; which makes sense, to give the collection a sense of cohesiveness.

I was at the mall today with my good friend Jerome for an overdue dinner date and we happened to wander in the local Louis Vuitton Boutique. (*yeah, right*) Essentially, there was nothing new to see except when my eyes caught a travel protector that was covering a Pegase!!! It is the answer to every traveller's fear that their luggage pieces would be badly scratched or dirtied. Unfortunately, they only come with the newly designed Pegase 45, 55 and 65 and are not sold separately. Boohoo!

The Trouble with Emilie & Josephine
My title reads like a latest young adult novel but I am here to report that there have been complaints for the Emilie and Josephine wallets. Apparently, the colourful leather wraps on the buttons (that are simply adorable) are chafing off after constant use. It has been less than a year since they came out. I hope that Louis Vuitton does not give out a "regular wear and tear" excuse. Those buttons are what makes the wallet!
Monogram Miroir Pieces available still in Australia
For those of you Down Under, the Miroir Sac Plat both in Dore and Argent as well as the Summit Drive in Dore are still available for purchase. The Sac Plat was released here in the US around December of '09 and is currently sold out. The Summit Drive on the other hand, had a limited release for the opening of the Dubai store, supposedly only 100 units were manufactured.
