Trunks & Tags

After much thought, I finally decided to continue to have Louis Vuitton as my planner for the year. I know that I need to usher myself into the 21st century, but there is something to be said for a good old fashioned agenda. LV did not disappoint because upon opening the package, a newly introduced bookmark resembling a vintage luggage tag fell out. Colorful stickers to pepper the year are also included and printed breaks of historical labels fill the calendar. I just LVoe it and I am so glad that I stayed with them.

My fave of the Pre-Fall LVooks

I just LVoe the bold design on this coat. It reminds me of Native American artifacts though I could see the Scottish influences in the collection. The blanket stitch lends an adorable detail as well. LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Bandeau Bijou

One thing that caught my eye in the boutique the other day, was a Multicolore Bandeau cinched by a golden brass piece. As it turns out, it comes in 4 different varieties and is collectively called the Bandeau Bijou. My favourite of the four is the Multicolore in Black (from left to right), but there is a white one, a tromp-loeil and a Tutti Sweety that has a brass heart for its ornament. LVoe it!!! $240 at www.louisvuitton.com.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Brea

Part of the New Year releases is the latest addition to the Monogram Vernis Line: the Brea. Inspired by the traditional doctor's bag, I played around with it in-store and decided that it was more for business. The GM had ample space though the zippered opening felt awkward to me. The strap was not at all useful but the top handles were quite comfy. It currently only comes in Amarante and Pomme d'amour but I think it would look smashing in a Bleu Nuit. Prices are PM $1040, MM $1760 and GM $1940. Check it out at www.louisvuitton.com.

LVook Book Finds: Pink & Red

I guess Louis Vuitton is really pushing the shape of the Courtney in this Monogram leather version of it. I thought at first glance that they were resurrecting the Stephen but the rivets gave it away. Estimated to be around $3550 for the MM size, it will also come in a pochette for $1870. Also coming out in red are the Men's Evidence Sunglasses. Uuuuhhhh...is that a typo in the price???!!! Both are slated to be released in March. WOOOOOWWWZAHHHH!!! Thanks Darvin for the photos!

I can't wait for Spring!

I went to Home Depot (hardware warehouse) to look at doorknobs for Aris' new place and could not help but admire the orchids. I miss the Philippines...

Louis Vuitton Multicolore Chrissie

Following in the footsteps of the Courtney, is this soon to be released Multicolore Chrissie (Feb 1). Peppered with rivets to no end, this shoulder city bag is not for the faint hearted though the classic Murakami design will surely win fans the world over. Hmmm...I wonder if it will come in different sizes. Photo: ILVOELV

LVook-See at the new Tysons Corner Boutique

Well, I got to visit the Bloomingdales LV Boutique finally. It opened around late November but Tysons is always jammed packed for the Holidays that it seemed it wasn't worth going. The store is absolutely beautiful, with the typical well lighted shelves showcasing the bags. I saw two Vernis Animal coin purses (Bird and Rabbit) which are adorable as well as the Neverfull in Damier Azur. I actually took snappies of them but my Blackberry was running out of memory so I was only able to keep one which is the newest style and colour for the Mahina Collection, the Bordeaux Solar. It is a very deep, rich colour that will appeal to more mature tastes. Nothing for the Spring yet.
