Scarcely have I posted under Blog Friends, when yet again I received a new e-mail but this time from New Yorker Alfredo posing with his luggage collection. This muy guapito Boricuano has a Keepall Bandoulière, what seems to me like a Sirius and can anyone miss the Graffiti and Monogramouflage Keepalls ? Two of the most iconic bags bourne of Marc Jacobs' artistic collaboration. You must travel a lot. Don't forget to say "hi" when you visit the Nation's Capital. LVoe it!!!

Well, technically, it's not from Bulgaria but from Rogier of the Netherlands. He was recenlty on a short trip to the beach in Bulgarije and decided to purchase a Monogram Carryall so as to travel in style. Congratulations, R for your new luggage piece! But, what made me fall off my chair and had to be rescued by 1-866-vuitton, was that he told me he was using his Pionnier Damier Géant backpack as a beach bag! I wouldn't dare bring my Vuitton anywhere near water but I must say that you must've been chic and fabulous on the beach. Thanks for the pics and visit again soon! LVoe it!!!
Fancy, Cold Coffee Drink
Coming back from vacation, it is always a challenge to go back to the routine of working out. I am proud to say that I have gone to the gym for TWO STRAIGHT DAYS and so I decided to reward myself with a fancy, cold coffee drink! But what thrilled me more was that I picked up an old Harper's Bazaar issue post-elliptical. And when I mean old, I mean OLD. It was from April 2004 and on the second page was the ad for the Theda PM with Strasse in beige. This was a Spring Summer Runway piece and was the "it" bag for that season. I was surprised that the magazine was still in mint condition. Now that's a blast from the past if I do say so myself! LVoe it!!!

Other New Releases from September 1st
The beginning of the adorable Patch Collection has started with the Damier agendas. I believe there is a mini pochette that is slated to be released with this design. It is quite reminiscent of Old World travel when every port stamps your luggage. Plus, the long-awaited Insolite wallet with it's myriad of lining colors. Dion is a reader of mine who is currently vacationing in Hawaii. In the midst of paradise, she has found time to e-mail me and inquire about boutique suggestions and if these lunettes look like "bug-eyes" (according to her bf). Well, D, you have to go try it on for size when you get to LV. For me, I can't tell through pics alone. I have a nose of a fish, so I need to make sure that that bridge will support the sunnies on my face or else the lens will be fogging up all day. Tip: (a little bird told me this) there are codes for sunglasses, W for Westerner and E for the people of the East. But from the pic alone, I vote this as über fabulo!. According to www.louisvuitton.com it's "oversize and offers a vintage and glamourous look!" How can you resist that desciption?! LVoe it!!!
What else did I see at Neiman's?!
Well, I saw these cute PM agenda covers with silk-screened print that was inspired by Vuitton vintage advertising. What I enjoyed about them was that two had a different color for it's lining. The Blanche being my favorite. It looks like a miniature trunk trompe-l'œil. They are so adorable but I'm afraid that the silk-screen will rub off in time. I guess I'll need to use its dustcover to protect it whilst in my bag. Something that irritates Jeff to no end. $340 at www.louisvuitton.com.
Etoile Collection Update
Well, as promised, I rushed over to Neiman's after the gym to view the Shopper Etoile. The Bowler already got sold this morning. The first thing I noticed was that it looked so much like last year's Griet but this time, it is way lighter! The canvas that was used is thinner making the quilted pattern soft. It is lined with beige alcantara and like the Griet, it is divided into three compartments, the middle one being zippered. What struck me the most is the attention to detail. The buckle is hinged like a door and the engraved script 'Louis Vuitton' is very nicely done. It's a huge chunk of brass but doesn't feel heavy. The leather lip that closes the bag is not as thick as the Griet's and is only made up of one layer. The Griet has several, one on top of the other. The shoulder straps are held by rings and are thinnner. A leather belt fastens the bag close that is finished with beautiful hardware. Rounded rivets add luxurious elements throughout. All in all, it is a great bag but the price point is a bit much for something that is not limited. Shopper is $3500 and Bowler is $2950. I still LVoe it!!!

I just got a call from my SA that the Matelassé Etoile Collection was released today exclusively at Neiman Marcus. The rest of the world will have to wait until October to get it. I'm off to see it now and will update you guys in a few hours.

eug4emi just posted in the Purse Forum her newly acquired Comète from Vuitton's Fall-Winter Shimmer Collection. This will be the first time I would be seeing the piece and how it "shimmers". It's positively breathtaking! She provided a lot of pics to enjoy. LVoe the pooch and the bag! Sheeesshhh, why didn't I waitlist for this season?! Congratulations!!!

Gossip Girl Season 2
I just finished watching the Premiere Episode of Season 2 for Gossip Girl and totally LVoed it! I wouldn't want to spoil it for you guys by recounting the sordid but juicy details, but let's just say that my white Panama Bowly would have blended perfectly in the Hamptons! Seriously though, I hope they show more Vuitton's this season. I saw quite a few designer names that are considered bad words in this blog. So for now, we'll have to settle for this pic of Leighton Meester aka Blair Waldorf from Glamour's July issue carrying the Speedy Frame in ostrich. Sweet Pink Frame Dreams Everyone!!!! When The Wind Blows in Chicago
I am not talking about Roy Clark's song. I don't even know who Roy Clark is. What I am talking about is the new leather goods men's line blowing from Vuitton, the Chicago Collection. Made of supple, nappa calf leather, this is sure to win the hearts of those who are not into Monograms and Damiers. The signature is discreetly perforated and so far, the color choice is black. I am most keen about the trifold wallet. Before I joined the band of pochette, long wallet owners, the trifold was my favorite kind. I still have some laying around here dating from the 1990s. I have yet to see and feel the leather in real life so that will be my assignment for this weekend. Who knows, one of these babies might just get into my pocket.
