A Big MERCI BEAUCOUP!
Thank you, guys for the wonderful Louis Vuitton roller coaster these past few weeks. I have never been to LV so many times in such a short period. E, good things come to those who wait. A, we are looking forward to your return. Snzy, what's your next acquisition? Dr. A, monogramouflage to match your shorts. J, enjoy your Summit Drive, M, you should buy a Summit Drive. And J, your snapshot says it all -- LV's in action. LVoe y'all and let us enjoy our Louis's in good health!
Speedy Dilemma
Well, it turns out that only the Watercolor Speedy 35 would be coming out tomorrow. A miscommunication within the company occurred and has caused wave upon wave of disappointment for those hoping for the size 30. On a lighter note, Jerome also had some SIZE issues of his own. The big reveal is that he bought a Speedy 40 yesterday but has decided that it was humongous for his purposes. So for the nth time, we drove across town to our local LV boutique. His final answer -- a Speedy 35! Here's our dynamic duo with his ultra-virgin vachetta and my brilliantly shining Mirage.

Well, he wasn't the only one...
NO Watercolor Speedy 30 for Mainland US-MISINFORMATION TRANSMITTED

I just spoke to 1866 last night and they are taking waitlists over the phone. I clarified that for the longest time the 35 was the only one slated to be released but apparently they got a recent memo and the 30 will also be coming stateside. Get your CC ladies and gents and start dialing!Pic is of the 35 by Dunhill98

China Run 2008
On May 23 (Jeff's birthday) to June 1, 2008, the Louis Vuitton Classic will take place in China. The China run will see 45 Classic Cars compete from Chengdu to Kunming. It's all good and interesting but what captured my attention more was the release of limited edition pieces commemorating the event. The Keepall is to die for!!! Rumour has it though that the items will only be released in China and Japan. Many an LV LVoer in the US will be quite disappointed. Visit www.louisvuitton.com.

Takashi Murakami's Monogramouflage
I need to see more of this design before I could say nay or yay. Looks promising though. The bag featured above is called Jasmine according to fashion maven Karen Kooper who took this snapshot from the actual show! Collection estimated release: June 15. Thanks getty and Karen. Visit karenkooper.com
LVMH acquires the Swiss watchmaker Hublot
LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, announces that it has signed an agreement to acquire the Hublot group, a top of the range watchmaker. Hublot is highly complementary to LVMH’s existing watch portfolio comprising of several brands but most particularly Louis Vuitton watches that are sold exclusively in their boutiques. Hmmm...doesn't this Hublot face remind you of the toile Damier?

Bad eating weekend
This weekend was filled with eating out, fancy, cold coffee drinks and a break-the-matzoh-Passover extravaganza at an Italian place where beer, pasta and bread rules. Oy vey! I need to do a lot of cardio this week and what better incentive to do it than with this Vuitton gym combo. Slated to be out in the next coming months, it will roughly cost under $400. Not bad if it will actually get me going into the gym more often.
Magnificent Mile Malletier
Jet-setter Arjay U. was in Chicago last week and though he has posted most of his pics in his blog: arjaysjourney.blogspot.com, he has promised me exclusive rights to this photo of him infront of Michigan Avenue's crown jewel.

Another Weekend of Louis Vuitton
The day started with me picking up Jerome and Eiza at Tom's house. Within five minutes of getting there, I noticed that Eiza's Galliera had a smudge on the virgin vache leather. She immediately performed damage control by using a white eraser as per my advice.
Sadly, the offending mark could not be removed and we resigned ourselves to charge it to "normal" wear and tear. Upon stepping out into the bright sunshine, we decided to have our pictures taken (with our bags of course) in front of Tom's blooming azaleas.
What followed was a whirlwind of brunch, enjoying the perfect weather outdoors and visiting Louis Vuitton boutiques from both sides of the Beltway. Finally, Jerome broke down and decided to make the Zippy Organizer his latest acquisition. We were trying to figure out where the date code was and made a little game out of it. It was quite difficult but yours truly eventually found it.
After a long, harrowing day, it was all worth it and we wound up at Tom's place discussing even further if Eiza is going to make a purchase of her own. We even went as far as calling the Ala Moana store in Hawaii. The bag of her choice...well...you have to wait for me to post it. Wink...

V Magazine Goes Digital

Hey Upper Eastsiders...
It was with much anticipation that this past Monday rolled in with my not-so-secret-anymore indulgence--Gossip Girl. During the writers' strike, I thought that my poor lil' show would be cancelled and I would forever miss the uppercrust of New York Society. But the voice of the people (possibly 14 year-old girls & me) triumphed and once more, my favorite young fashionistas are out and about with their privileged lives. Here's Leighton Meester, aka Blair, strutting the fabulous Cannes from the Epi Collection. XOXO ~ LVLuvr.

Revisiting Men's 2008-2009 Collection
I know it's too early for me to be dreaming about the fall collection especially with the gorgeous weather we have been experiencing. But I had the sudden urge to take a quick peek at men.style.com. I can't wait to see this new interpretation of the damier! The white handles on some of the pieces are quite an interesting twist on the oh so familiar pattern. I hope that they make more than just a trio for this collection. It is after all only a few more months away...

Trip to LV
Jerome wanted to touch, feel and peruse the Monogram Zippy Organizer to match his upcoming Beaubourg purchase. So despite the inclement weather, we decided to take a jaunt to LV. We then proceeded to deliberate on the pros and cons of the piece over coffee. The verdict -- Zippy would be the perfect choice for the Beau!

Rainy Day
Multicolore Zippy Coin Purse
I have been tooting this cute, little purse ever since the monogram canvas came out. Just recently, LV has released it in the Murakami MC and I absolutely find it adorable. It fits perfectly in the Macau and Irvine with ample room to spare. I am still debating though if I should hold out for a Canton ZCP or simply purchase the black MC. What dya all think?

LV Playdate
I just came from coffee with Jerome and we had a mini playdate with his growing Vuitton collection. The Cabas is to die for and he wears it so well. The bag is roomy and holds more than just essentials. I LVoe the accents of suede and the canvas is quite different from the usual material that LV uses. Congratulations on owning a fabulous runway bag and Happy Anniversary to you and Tom!

Multicolore Damier
An ingenious Purse Forumer, Tefhel, posed this question: Multicolore Damier -what do you think?.
She then proceeded to photoshop a zippy damier wallet with her vision and I think it is quite LVoely. I would definitely buy something from this line if it were in existence. As some of you might know, I adore reinterpretations of icons. Good work, Tefhel! LVoe it!
The Vernis Alma
Soon to be released (probably June), the Vernis Alma is got to be the hottest bag from this collection to date. With three colors to choose from: amarante, pomme d'amour and violette, it would be hard to decide which one. Bai Ling is shown here wearing the amarante GM version at the Brooklyn Museum Gala.

Jeff's new belt and my 500th post
Since it is Passover tonite, I decided to give Jeff's little pressy in advance. He was really surprised and totally LVoed it! Of course, I had to show him the difference between the Taiga and Epi lines; two collections that I have thus far given him. It was at this point that his eyes started to glaze over...

Trotting with the Naviglio
Watch Me
I just got an email today from a friend of a friend, Joan, and though I have never met her before, she and my friend Mae always manage to call me when they are in need of shopping advice. So last week, she acquired this trinket of a watch and proudly sent me a photo for my perusal. Much to my delight, her backdrop proved to be the more intesting feauture of the snapshot.

Fabrizio Plessi Digital Sac Plat
With the unveling of Hong Kong's largest Louis Vuitton store, Italian artist Fabrizio Plessi , a leader in European video art created the flagship's captivating outdoor display. Huge LED screens featuring molten lava that cascades alongside golden fixtures and walls. Plessi collaborated with Vuitton to present the world with a unique digital handbag. Made in classic black epi leather, the piece is adorned with an LCD screen showing images of the same molten gold through a cutout of the beloved monogram. Only 88 in the world with a price tag of $50,000. Reserve one today!
Mad dash to LV before the price increase
After work today, I decided to drop by my local boutique to purchase Jeff's birthday present for next month. It's a bit insane since the price increase is probably worth my extra 8 stops on the Metro. But, any reason to go to LV makes me quite happy and content. I have instructed Piolo to guard my secret gift. P.S Brought my Beaubourg with me to the store, and my SA thought it was a fake.
