Louis Vuitton Ad Fall Winter 2011 2012: JAPANESE CHINS

OMG!!!!!!! A photo of the Fall Winter Ads just came out featuring Daphne Groeneveld and Anaïs Pouliot and they are both toting JAPANESE CHINS just like my Piolo!!! The distracted pooches are simply adorable. Apparently, the dogs had their own auditions for the part but only 7 pedigreed pairs made the cut. Other human models were Zuzanna Bijoch, Gertrud Hegelund, Nyasha Matonhodze and Fei Fei Sun. “Who wouldn’t want to be this gorgeous young woman in the back seat of this beautiful car?” asks Marc Jacobs. Steven Meisel shot the campaign, with styling by Karl Templer, makeup by Pat McGrath and hair by Guido Palau. They are expected to hit the stands by August. Sigh...I wish Marc has met Piolo. He's been in LVoe with Louis Vuitton as long as I have. Photos from WWD except Piolo of course! LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

  1. It's about time these Fashionisttas got hip to the most PERFECT breed of dog. Louis Vuitton should be so lucky to be as sophisticated and regal as Japanese Chins. Here is my jocking tribute to this breed, featuring CHEECCHEE the wonderdog.

  2. I've owned Japanese Chins (and Louis Vuitton!) since 1977! My first was a female named Nichi and my most recent is a male named Cooper, who turned 7 on the 4th of July! Best breed in the world!

  3. Adorable dogs -- looks like my Summer Peaches (Papillon) but with a more smooshed face!

  5. I doubt the Japannese Chins would tolerate the "Fashionistta Set" too easily.

Love the photos and the dogs.

    Too special for fashion.

  6. Just saw this ad in the September issue of InStyle and was immediately smitten! I rescued a Japanese Chin little boy named Poppy 2 years ago. Aren't they just the most awesome dogs?! Maybe I should get him and his brothers some LV collars? Too bad he can't fit in my Louis bag haha

  7. I am the owner and trainer of both these girls! The left is Treasure and the right is Chrissy. Both girls are well on their way to a breed championship and Chrissy has a novice agility title. Treasure is out of two Ch that I own and I own Chrissy's father with her breeder Carla Jo Ryan (and scott toney). There was NO competition. My dogs have agent and Louis vuitoon requested a certain type of dog. My dog's pics were submitted like for any campaign and we were picked along with some others. They seemed to like the chins best and used the most. They will also be in the Dec issue of Dog fancy and Chrissy's sister is the dog on Animal Planet's dogs 101. They have done print work before but never this big! You can read more about them at www.dizzydogs.com

  8. When is anyone going to notice that this kind of advertisement only puts the breed in danger of more puppy milling?
Take for example the past several years of pop-marketing of: Yorkies, Chiwawas, Pugs Pomeranians as an accessory and commodity?! These breeds have exponentially suffered the backlash of desperate consumerism. This is not good people!

  9. The Japanese Chin matches the glamour and elegance of the Louis Vuitton line. I've read an article that chins came from royalties, therefore, it's just compatible with this brand
