Damier, Damier, Damier

This year marks the 125th anniversary of the creation of the Damier pattern by Louis Vuitton. Ironically enough, it was designed to protect against imitation together with the Rayée (beige and brown stripes) from 1876. The Damier came in two colour schemes: red (dark red dots over a dark brown background) and white checker (light and dark brown background).  Since then, it has donned many colours and finishes but 2013 is truly the year of the Damier for both Men and Women Collections.  Featured here is the stunning Men's Line.  LVoe it!!!

Thanks, lvj12!
