Miami here we come!
Last week, Jerome and I decided that we were going to Miami to visit our dear lil' friend, Arjay. The PTO's have been filed and the tickets booked. Now all we need to decide is what new purchases shall we bring on our trip? Or shall we just save them for the Bal?! Suggestions my readers, please!

Tate & Greta
No pics yet but the Tate is a new Damier ebene piece and the Greta a new multicolore. Both are hobo styles akin with the newly released Manon (pic above), which by the way, I saw in real life today. It only comes in ebene and apparently the dune color is on its way out! A new color of the mini lin would be launched soon and is tentatively called plantain. Correction as of Aug 7th. It's not plantain but PLATINE. It's a beautiful shade of silver with black trim.

Big shout out to LVoers from Oakbrook, IL
I bet y'all are excited about the upcoming free standing store that is expected to open soon. A reader-friend of mine sent me this pic and a big thank you to her! I wonder, if they are going to have a special limited piece or "give-away" for the opening. Maybe I'll get an invite for the ribbon cutting...

The Christopher
I once read an article that backpacks are only for 12-year old boys and that the modern, urban man should be carrying a man bag such as a messenger or body sling. Seeing the Christopher with its "special order" counterparts is making me rethink this proposition. Check it out:

Hinahanap-hanap kita Manila!!!
I know I featured pics of the globe window via Milan, Kobe and Taipei and I've seen them here in DC, but finding one from Manila brings that extra-special magic to Vuitton. Lifted from www.bryanboy.com.

Core Collection Bags: Speedy Damier
I've been featuring a lot of upcoming styles and limited edition pieces but have failed to put a spotlight on what is termed as the "core collection". I think that it's time for me to talk about them by starting with the iconic Speedy. I chose the Damier ebene to be the first because I don't have one. Classic in its own right, the Speedy Damier is not as rampant as its more popular Monogram cousin. Yet, the lack of the ever-so-sensitive vache makes it an ideal bag for one who does not want to worry about such things. Ample in space, it holds a ton, but is currently only available in sizes 25 & 30. Rumour has it that an upcoming 35 is on the works. The Damier Ebene Speedy, it's the perfect bag to start a collection with! To LVoe it, visit www.louisvuitton.com or eLUXURY.com

I think I'll bring out the animal in me this Fall
Taken from the late Stephen Sprouse's design, this leopard stole is made out of silk and cashmere. With the success of its predecessor, I bet this will hit the streets donned by celebrities and LVoers alike. Visit www.louisvuitton.com.

Aloha from Eiza!
E, took a pic of 2006's Film Fest poster. Maybe we should go this year so we can set-up an account at the Hawaii boutiques? For details click here.

Dear Dressed
Thanks for the pic that you sent:
If you guys have been following the comments in my blog, I received a post from a distressed LVoer who thought she was a victim of the switcheroo trick of unscrupulous SAs. Her concern was that the mini pleaty that she had just purchased from the boutique had a reversed positioning of the straps. This dilemma even reached the highest authority, i.e. LV Asia-Pacific. Upon seeing her pics, it seems that Vuitton has a 'negative' picture posted on their site since a couple of the photos from tPF pleatys have the same positioning as hers. So, my dear, I fear that your pleaty must join the ranks of other pleatys of the world. Enjoy it in good health!

The Milla
Telephonique Nouvelle
After a year and seven months of capturing photos and speed-dialing 1-866 from my lil' N80ie Nokia , I finally had to say goodbye to him when he woke up yesterday with a broken screen. I dunno what happened! It's like losing an old friend. So, I set off today to the nearest wireless kiosk with a heavy heart and got myself a new phone. The criteria was not fettered with the latest technology such as GSM networks, GHZ's and GB's, but it comprised of only two queries: a) Will it fit my Louis Vuitton cigarette case? and b) Does it have a slit to hang my Monogram charm?
