Louis Vuitton Minaudiere Berlington

Since I just mentioned my beLVoed Philippines, the Minaudiere Berlingot does not remind me of the French caramel candies from which it derives its name, but of the mother of pearl minaudieres that are found in every tourist handicraft store throughout Manila. The Vuitton version though is interspersed with strips of resin that compliments the natural colour of the nacre. Rose Clair for the top foto and the Rose Fonce for the bottom, these hefty priced (a little less than $4K) evening clutches are to die for. LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Cruise 2011

I have been seeing these in my local Neiman's for quite sometime now and the pieces from the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2011 ain't movin fast enough. Crafted out of cotton jacquard with hand made accents that remind me of Home Economics projects done in the Philippines, the Pochette Accesoires and Cabas GM pictured here are part of a small collection that is geared to tie us over until the spring summer pieces becomes available. With the ongoing shortage, I assume this will tempt the Holiday shopper. They seem perfectly functional to me but for some reason they are still lonely in their glass cases. $1090 for the Pochette; $2490 for the Cabas at www.louisvuitton.com.

Egypt 2010

Hey folks! I'm sorry for being away so long. I must honestly admit that I have not been thinking about Louis Vuitton for quite some time now. I dunno if it's the world wide shortage or the 17% take on Hermès or poor quality that so many of you readers have been e-mailing me about, but somehow I kinda lost the LVoe. Since my last post, Jeff and I went to Egpyt for our annual vacation together. It was abso-f*cKi*-wonderful. To be amidst such grandeur and antiquity is amazing. I'm not going to bore you with a lot of pics since my only LV were my sunglasses but here are my favourite pics. I do apologize that I only have one smile in all of them... The Pyramids at Giza The Temples at Abu Simbel Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut in the Valley of the Kings The White Desert at dawn.

Reawakening: The Diwali Windows

As I was walking around the mall on the last weekend shopping before Christmas (crazy huh?!); without any thought that I was passing a boutique, I was drawn to a soft glow cast by LV's display. I instantly fell in LVoe with the Diwali Windows . I have read about it online but never took the time to feature it as I would have done so in the past. I then had an epiphany of some sorts and cheezy as it sounds, the windows lured me back to the magic that is LV. The simple paper lanterns with their cut-out monograms and prints of vintage trunks was my undoing. I still am in LVoe with Louis Vuitton!!! So bare with me as I catch up. Thanks, guys for hanging in there. I promise to answer all the e-mails. LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

Happily, I will be silent again for the next two weeks. This time, it's because Jeff and I and some friends are taking a small trip. I will try to post pics if I can. Keep LVoein' everybody!!!

I LVoe Marc Jacobs

I also decided today that I want to meet Marc Jacobs. So I am sending out this message to the universe for that infinitesimal chance that one day I would.

Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2011

Finally, some colour in my blog! More than a month after the Louis Vuitton Spring Collection for 2011 hit the runway, it was only today that I actually decided to take a LVook at them. And boy, was I pleased with what I saw! Orientalia ending in jungle prints is what our maestro Marc has conjured up this season. Vibrant palettes and shimmering silhouettes that will make most women uneasy screams the joy of spring and life. Of course, the Chinese lace fans are a number one hit for me. I usually focus on bags but this time they took the back seat. I have been in clouds for most of the past month but Mr. Jacobs has parted them today. LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!
