25th Biennale des Antiquaires at the Grand Palais

Snapshots of the LVs that came out for the 25th Biennale des Antiquaires Gala at the Grand Palais in Paris, an art lovers candy store of antiques, jewelry and fine art. Featured are Gong Li, Yves Carcelle and the ever so LVoely Christy Turlington. September 14, zimbio.com

Louis Vuitton Monogram Wilshire

I am always excited to see new additions to the Monogram Core Collection and the familiar shape of the Wilshire is no exception. This time it is being released in three sizes as opposed to its Vernis predecessor. Since it's more structured, it is a welcome alternative to the popular Neverfull. The long slender handles of the GM and MM will make it the perfect workhorse bag without sacrificing style and could easily morph into a casual evening bag. It really reminds me of the Mezzo. LVook See: Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2010 2011 Trunkshow

I know that it's been awhile since I have posted in my blog. I have been battling a bag funk lately but nothing beats a Louis Vuitton Trunk Show to keep the LVoe alive. Let's start off with the re-interpretation of the iconic Fleur de Jais Speedy with its glittering black sequins and flocage. I must admit that I was hoping for more ummppphhh, but the Speedy was just okay. I would have preferred if Marc used the same black leather on the tabs for the handles. Instead, the vache seems to be competing with the overall LVook but I LVoe the brass feet underneath that protects the embellishments. I did like the LVook though on the clutch version, the Manège. I'm all about clutches lately and this takes the cake. One worry though is the rubbing of one's hands at the bottom where sequins and flocking abound though the handly vache wristlet is a welcome alternative. Next we have the Monogram Volupté as represented by the Beauté (small) and Psyché (large). The coated jacquard has an interesting feel to it and upon close inspection I was amazed at how the Monograms were woven. Lastly, I played quite a bit with the multi-exotic Carrousel. The shape is delightful in petite form and is crafted with crocodeeel handles, autruche flap, lambskin lining and a clochette trimmed with mink fur. This will give any PETA supporter a heart attack...(and you thought Lady Gaga's dress was a bit much)! Of all of the pieces I saw tonight, the Carrousel has got to be my most favourite. Small enough for formal dining and quite colourful for a casual run of the town. Ooohhh, and it comes with its very own pillow stuffer to keep the shape! LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Exotiques!

I just LVoe, LVoe Exotiques so when Peter sent me these photos from the recently opened Bond Street store in London, I almost fainted. Feast your eyes on the wonderful skins that graces these arm candy. Thanks, P for sending them in.

Louis Vuitton Python Portfolio

Pre-Fall is a time to LVook at releases that were not made for the runway but will whet our appetite for things to come. In my humble opinion this Python Portfolio accomplished that beautifully! The utilitarian piece takes us up a notch in luxury due to its matte reptilian skin. The now characteristic zipper pull, which if I'm not mistaken was released in the Fall Winter of 2008-2009, adds the LV touch. I bet you will have to pay an arm and a leg to get this despite the python having none. LVoe it!!! Photo: Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton's Current Window

As much as I enjoy LVooking forward to Vuitton releases, the windows are my second favourite. For this season, golden spools of thread create an elegant backdrop to featured items. The "embroidery" is clever and creative. If you LVook hard enough, you can see me and my Monogram Velours Irvine in the reflection. Check it out!!! LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Academy Boot

Inspired by this season's Viennese theme, this two in one boot for Men is to die for. You can actually remove the top part to use as an ankle boot. The price though is a hefty $1720. I guess it's like paying for two shoes. LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Bond Street Animaux

I know that the internet was saturated with photos when the New Bond Street Store opened in London a few months back. I was more focused on the celebs and their purses then. But as I was reviewing the pics today, I became more dazzled with the taxidermy inspired window display featuring a diverse array of animals. Photos from www.posh24.com Gwyneth Paltrow with Mouse, Fish, Owl, Otter (?) Sophia Dahl with Frog Kirsten Dunst with Rabbit Hmmm...I dunno who she is and never mind the Cobra. Take a LVook at her Monogram Guipure Carrousel. LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Tutti Lucky Bracelet

After thoroughly enjoying my latest acquisition over the weekend, I decided to discover further what Louis Vuitton has in store for us in terms of accessories this coming Fall Winter season. I immediately zoomed in on the Tutti Lucky Bracelet. In Philippine lore, an elephant with a raised trunk always brings good fortune so I was thrilled to see this along with the clover and rainbow. Hmmmm...I guess the dice and casino chip are for the gamblers. Accesoires are coming our way in the next few months so keep your eyes peeled for them. LVoe it!!! www.louisvuitton.com

Louis Vuitton Alligator Alma

If you have been reading my blog for quite some time now, you probably would have guessed that I have a weakness for exceptional pieces. I was surfing the net the other day and saw this iconic Alma Exotique. Crafted out of alligator skin, the piece is a luscious Havanne colour. Judging from the Code RI1906, it dates it to October of 1996. The seller claims that the purchase price was $18000 which is about right and if I only have ten grand lying around, this baby would have been my bag for this weekend. Check out the website by clicking here. LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Monogram Empreinte Collection

Wow, the reaction to Louis Vuitton's Monogram Empreinte was amazing. I have been getting e-mails about them since I posted a few days back. I think a lot of people have been waiting for a luxurious leather line to succeed the Suhali and Nomade collections. Mahina was relatively popular but the embossed Monograms adds depth to the material. As of now, no prices yet but I will update as soon as information is available. LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

Sales Associates Appreciation Day

I would like to declare the day after Louis Vuitton's birthday (at least in my blog) Sales Associates Appreciation Day. I know that I can sometimes be difficult but without all of you I would not be able to enjoy my LV's. So here's to all my associates who in one way or another have helped me. Please forgive me if I forgot anyone! I urge all my LVoe readers also to thank their SAs by posting a comment here.

Louis Vuitton" Trunks and Toys" Exhibit Manila July 15 - August 5, 2010

Owing to Louis Vuitton's birthday, I would like to inject a little whimsy in my blog. Not too long ago, LV sponsored an exhibit entitled "Trunks and Toys" in my hometown, Manila. Since I am 8,562 miles away, there was no way that I could view it. Thankfully with the advances in technology and absolutely LVoely people, the exhibit came to me which I would like to share with all of you. The toys are from the founding family, a testimony to their passion for anything to do with travel. The exhibit also includes some antique trunks that were shipped all the way from Asnières, France. I hope you enjoy these pieces as much as I did.
