What do you think of this Damier Deauville?
I believe my next purchase would be the Deauville and I found this interesting take on the damier on ebay. Any suggestions or comments? Thanks. Here's the listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=019&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=290126070802&rd=1&rd=1

Sometimes...
Naviglio in Action!
Vachetta on Damier Azurs
Since the Damier Azur line is fairly recent I was wondering if anybody can post pics of their patinated vachetta trims. Mine has started to change color. I know that the honey amber color is quite attractive for the monogram canvas line but I am wondering how it would look against the cool colors of the azur line. Thanks!
Price increase for July 1, 2007???!!!
Have you ever visited an LV boutique and you said to yourself that you would purchase that monogram or damier canvas on your next paycheck or for Christmas? Well, there is a buzz online that Vuitton is going to raise their prices on July 1 of this year. Time to run to your nearest store and grab that bag!!! I truly hope it's just a rumour.

Last day of shopping
Well, it's the last day of my friends' visit. After a weekend of dining out, partying and shopping, we decided to go to Georgetown to while away the time before I took them to their respective airports. (DC has three). So here's a photo of the busiest intersection in G-town with Arjay using his new Damier Azur Speedy 30 to block out the sun!
Weekend with LV friends
Apol and Arjay, a couple of LV lover friends of mine came to visit me here in the nation's capital and of course their trip would not have been complete without a jaunt to the local LV boutique. Arjay purchased for me the trunks and bag mini pochette accesories as a belated birthday present. It's a pretty little thing to go out with when you don't want a big bag with you. It fits my cell phone and credit cards nice and snug. It's so funny because at one bar (Chaos), this hunky muscle guy of a bouncer asked me if he could see the inside of my "purse" as a security measure. Thanks Arjay, love the pose! Pochette purchased June 14, 2007, Chevy Chase.
PS. I didn't like the credit cards all scattered about so the following day, we went back to purchase a porte-cartes simple and Arjay bought a Speedy 30 Damier azur. Porte-cartes purchased June 15, 2007, Chevy Chase.

Takashi Murakami Panda
I lifted this pic from a website: (http://www.thecityreview.com/f05phcon1.html) and thought that it's so cute. Too bad that this Asian inspired design was executed before I even got interested in Vuitton.
The most fun work in the auction is Lot 16, "Panda," by Takashi Murakami (b. 1963). It is made of fiberglass with an antique Louis Vuitton trunk and wooden pedestal, it measures 100 1/2 by 65 by 43 inches. It was executed in 2003. It has an estimate of $350,000 to $450,000. It sold for $385,600.

Weekend getaway
Over the weekend, I was in Syracuse, New York to attend a friend of Jeff's wedding. Syracuse is pretty nice coz' I love old worn out places. After the quaint yet sweet wedding, we decided to enjoy the delights of the city by going to their local art museum, the Erie Canal Museum and the city's historic district. It so happens that Gay Pride CNY was ongoing as well as the 57th Polish festival. We spent the whole day out and it was the first time I had my lil' bag with me. The following day, we decided to tour the Syracuse University campus. With its 19th century halls combined with modern buildings dotted with a buffet of outdoor statuary, I left the University feeling contented. Enclosed is a pic of me with a bronze statue of the Supplicant Persephone by Ivan Mestrovic.
Light Water stains on Vuitton's vachetta leather
Despite the numerous posts online about the sensitivity of LV's vachetta leather, I did not take heed a weekend ago and proceeded to waltz in the rain with my new reporter bag. At first the raindrops dried and I thought nothing of it. As the days passed, they began to become more noticeable and it irritated me terribly. I began my search for the perfect solution to no avail. I did not want to treat it chemically so I decided on a soft white eraser. NOTHING. I spent most of the early part of my work day searching for the answer. I got so pissed that I decided to try the eraser idea again but this time using a regular lead pencil top. I gently rubbed it first on the sides of the vachetta and to my surprise, they began fading away until my leather lining is as blemish free as the day I bought it! Hope this helps to all of us who are whacko enough to care about our leather linings. {For those of you who want to know the actual office pencil I used: Quill #T8122 #2HB}

I couldn't help myself...
Well, I broke down and went to the LV store during my lunch break to acquire the beautiful Limited Edition Groom Pochette Wallet! I had a couple of girl friends with me (Rowena and Angel) and they loved it. I wonder what Jeff (my partner) would say when he finds out. He thinks LV monograms are the ugliest things he has ever seen and that people only buy them for the status symbol. I guess part of it is true but I still believe in the brand itself all the same. Purchased around 1:30 pm June 7, 2007.
Groom stuff
I just found these pics to showcase the Limited Edition Groom Collection. At the bottom is the original 1921 ad that was used by the company to promote the idea of "luxury in travel". The groom itself is very much like Herge's Tintin. Follow this link: Tintin. I think the window display is adorable.
Groom Collection
I think my next Louis purchase would be from the Groom collection. I think this line combines whiticism to the classic collections. I don't even know if "whiticism" is an actual word but I hope you know what I mean...In any case, I am leaning for the big red pochette wallet. Between a regular pochette and the groom, I think it adds a little umpphhh. Your thoughts please...

Monogram Mini Lin Danube
Wow, I really like the timelessness of this piece. Such a cute and fashionable item for your daily essentials like cell phones, wallet, keys etc...I've never actually seen or felt a mini lin. Maybe it's time to visit my friendly neighborhood LV. Hmmm...I wonder how the white will hold up? $720 at www.eluxury.com Photo credit: www.eluxury.com
