ReplyDeleteErr.. I dunno where to e-mail you. Oops. I'm telling ya, this is something! I usually get my LVs from trips abroad... never bought 1 in Manila (pricier reasons) ... until 1 day... saw the Denim Mini Pleaty at Greenbelt. I just have to have it. So there.. ka-ching goes the cash register... it happily went home with me. Then I surfed through their website then guess what I found out... the hardware on the strap was on the wrong side! The one on the website had the hardware on the RIGHT side, while mine's on the LEFT side. I was thinking... 2 versions? Nah... LV Greenbelt couldn't explain so I emailed LV's Asia Pacific's customer service center. They mailed back saying that LV definitely had only 1 version. Now what? This couldn't be a defect or product irregularity.. definitely not a product switch by the SA (knockoff alert!). I definitely will not accept such answer coming from a luxurious brand. Hello? I'm paying and I should get what I SHOULD GET. As of this post, I am still waiting for LV's final answer.
ReplyDeleteOh, I didn't understand your meaning at first. Well, you could look at it this way. It might be a manufacturing flaw since LV is after all handmade. If it is, it's still made by LV and your bag is the only ONE in the world. My Griet had one of its "Louis Vuitton" hardware upside down and I had it replaced with a new unit. To this day, I still wonder if I should've kept it. Flaws can make a piece quite unique. Update us!

ReplyDeleteSame deal with my Mancrazy, on the website both zipper hardwares rest on the same side but the actual bag has one resting on either side of the bag. I think they do this online for visual purposes.

ReplyDeleteThere have been occasions when a photo from LV or elux is quite different from the actual released item. There is speculation that they do this to throw off the counterfeiters or are pics of the prototype. Take for example the Tivoli pic on eluxury. It used to be that the handles were made out of flat vachetta but the actual piece that came out on the market had the rolled ones on top. In any case, let's hear what LV Asia has to say.
