Daniel Buren for Louis Vuitton Windows 2013

For Louis Vuitton's Spring Summer 2013 show, creative director Marc Jacobs was inspired by the work of Daniel Buren, the artist behind the black and white striped columns in the Palais Royal gardens in Paris. The collaboration continues, with this season's upcoming windows for LV boutiques worldwide. Mesmerizing optical illusions play with stripes in yellow, white, brown, green, red, grey and of course, the collection's characteristic checks. The first windows were revealed on February 4 at 5th Avenue in New York City and Avenue Montaigne in Paris, and beginning in March, will be on display for other stores.
Thanks, Hydie.

Price Increase for the U.S. on February 18

I did a small pop-in at my local boutique yesterday and came out with the disconcerting news that there would be a price increase on the 18th.  At least it's not going to affect Valentine's Day, but I still haven't decided on the Metis. Finalize your wishlists Ladies and Gents.

Marc Jabobs for Diet Coke

I guess it's not only Louis Vuitton who will be receiving MJ's creative hands this year. The Coca Cola Company has named Marc Jacobs as its creative designer for 2013. Collaborating with ad campaigns and interpreting Diet Coke's cans and bottles. The soft drink is celebrating 30 years of sales in Europe with an ad campaign called "Sparkling Together for 30 years".

"I feel very privileged to be the new Creative Director of Diet Coke and put my stamp on the 30th anniversary campaign. Diet Coke is an icon... and I love an icon!" admitted Marc Jacobs.

Cans will be available on February 25 and the aluminum bottles will be unveiled on March 12.
